I've a feeling someone on the receiving end of those forms wants an easy copy/cut and paste option for some reason. Other than that I can't come up with why they insist on Word. Cannot be because their computers got no PDF reader (which is free!)

Running is a not an issue to me... I run 5km three times a week after all... Laughing

But my skinny frame becomes a liability at the chin-up station.... while I have stamina and speed, I lack raw strength. I'm ashamed to say that I've got a bit of a phobia when it comes to strength training. Brings back all the bad memories of being bullied by the other kids for being weaker than them. Neutral

I know, I know, it doesn't sound all that logical....

Heck, I failed my IPPT last year because of the chin-ups... I'm protected from RT only because I'm still studying. Neutral

i just got an email from some agency's "Corporate Communications Branch"

it is an auto-reply to an email i sent to them on 20 Dec 2006... i get the auto-reply on 22 Feb 2007... the matter has been dealt with, buried and has decomposed with nutrients recycled already

thing is, if it was my organisation which did this, we'd be dragged through the coals, crucified, taken down and then quartered before anything else would happen...

the other organisations can get away with this?

Hmm... I guess not doing it alone may help.

But I think the biggest stumbling block would be my mini-phobia of strength training. It gives me bad memories of why I was picked on by the other kids at school by constantly reminding me of how physically weak I am.

And it brings back all the bad memories of my dad scolding me for being bullied - his reasoning being that it was all my fault for being a good target for bullies. It totally wrecked my self-confidence and my ability to interact well with others.

As you might guess, I didn't really have a very happy childhood.... it wasn't too long ago before I finally realised that my dad was wrong all the while.

Yeah I know, it all sounds a bit dumb... once I can get over this mental stumbling block of mine, half the battle would be won.
